Technology partner:

Seasoned Lead Character Rigger David Hunt worked as part of the team that recently shipped Halo 3.  In this MasterClass, David will offer an in-depth look at how Bungie used Autodesk Maya to overcome multiple animation and character rigging challenges in the making of Halo 3

Using examples from this title, David will illustrate how the Maya MetaRigging Toolkit makes it easier for non-technical people to work in Autodesk Maya and how MEL Script systems were used by his team to set up procedural rigging and custom animation tools. This class will offer a glimpse under the hood at the highly efficient character development pipeline deployed by Bungie to achieve such a large-scale title, along with a look into the future of rigging tapping the new layer system in Autodesk Maya 2009.

Conducted like a seminar, this MasterClass is ideal for technical directors and animators with proficiency in Autodesk Maya. However, this session will also be of interest to artists with lower levels of technical expertise.

A certificate of attendance will be awarded to all participants for this MasterClass. Seats are limited, register today!
